ORAL PRESENTATION

Las week I had my first oral presentation of this year. I was about me. I had to explain about my personal information like: friends, family, travels, hobbies… I was a little bit difficult to explain only in five minutes what’s about me. I started the presentation presenting myself. I explain about my behavior, my feelings and describing me. Then I divided the presentation in 4 important topics: hobbies, friend and school, travels and family.
I develop all this topics, talking about: music, sports, school life, my sister, and my travels to England. Later I finished with a conclusion.
It is interesting to do this type of activities, to improve the pronunciation, the vocabulary, the grammar mistakes…

FRIENDS AND FAMILY

This fragment of a text is explaining the difference between family and friends. This text shows different problems and embarrassing situations that some teenagers had. Some of them explain some situation that they need help. Some of them say that in this age it is important to have friends that understand you. They will have the same problems and thinking as you. So it is easier to talk and explain to your friends. Family also is really important to support you.
In my opinion, when you are fourteen and more, you need friends, but not a lot of friends, just 3 o 4 that knows all about you and they can understand some situation. It is really important to trust in them, and if you trust in them, they too. You know that you have these friends when you have problems or you are depressed.
But also family is a good support in your life. They always are next to you, but sometimes they can understand your feelings or maybe the way of thinking.

Preparing my trip to Bristol!

Hi readers of my e-blog,

today it was a strees and boring sunday at home. I finished homework in the morning and in the afternoon I just prepared my trip to Bristol. Why Bristol? Well, one of my best friends, Isa, is studying there. So she invited me, to her boarding house to stay just a weekend. Probably I will go on March, so the tickets will be cheaper than in summer time.

So, today, Isa called me and she explain what are we going to do the weekend in Bristol. Perhaps, I will arrive on Friday afternoon so we will have dinner together and the go to bed. On Saturday morning I will visit the school and she will present me her friends. On the afternoon we will go with her friends to go shopping in Bristol or to the town. I will buy a lot of things in the different cheapers shops that are in England. On Sunday morning, I probably spent my last hours with Isa and finally I will take a fly to come back to Barcelona.

I excited with this trip because this will be my firts trip(no study trip) I will go alone with a friends. Maybe it is a oportunity to be autonomous and to improve my english.

MY THIRD LISTENING

Las night, I watched a TV episode of “The mentalist’’. It’s a wonderful TV series about a psychic medium who work with the police to solve crimes.
It’s interesting to learn some specific vocabulary from crimes o from the police. It was my first time I saw this TV series in English so, I was not easy to understand. I had to be very attentive and not get distract.
The irony that is used by the actors it’s no easy to understand in English.
I think that the next episode I will see will be easier than the first one.

MY SECOND LISTENING

The second listening is about the creeps. I listen to a video about the BBC about what the people are scared about. The Halloween was last weekend and the two interviewers ask people about what are they creep. People answer`s were spiders, the strange noises, cockroaches…
With this video I learned some vocabulary. At firsts, I didn’t know the meaning of some words: creeps or cockroaches.
Now I know that creep means to make someone feel nervous or scared. Cockroaches are little animals that live in dirty places like kitchens.
It was a easy listening to understand, maybe next time I could chose a little bit difficult to improve my listening in English

MY FIRST LISTENING

The last 23rd of October I finished watching the best TV series I’ve never seen. Is called “The O.C” and it’s about four teenager friends which show their problems and how they effort this type of problems like alcohol, drugs, relationships…
I am surprise because I was able to see this TV series all in English. Some of the idiomatic expressions who were said in the TV series were quite difficult to understand. In the other hand, the series it was recorded in American English and it was hard to realize some vocabulary and expressions with the British English.
I enjoyed watching this TV series, because while I am seeing my favorite series, I can improve my learning of English and some more vocabulary.

I love ''The O.C''

Hi friends!
I am back and I am going to write about my best ever favorite drama televisión series, The O.C. This weekend I finished all the last episode of O.C, so I’m going to explain what was this series about. The O.C is it a teen drama television series that explains the lives of a group of teenager and their families in Newport Beach in Orange County (O.C).
The main character is Ryan Atwood, who is adopted by a wealthy family, Sandy and Kirsten Cohen, in Newport. The Cohens has a freak and peculiar son, Seth Cohen. The main of the series starts when Marissa Cooper and Ryan started a relationship and also Seth Cohen fall in love whit the best friend of Marissa, Summer Roberts.
These two relationships were interrupted by some other boys or girls during the series. But the relationships were not only in teenagers, the granddad of Seth Cohen (that is a multimillionaire man) get married with Marissa’s mum, Julie. Jimmy (ex-husband of Julie), was involved in a big money fraud.
My favorite character is Marissa Cooper (Mischa Barton). Marissa is the most conflicted main character because she frequently is battling with drugs and alcohol. Marissa’s relationships with her parents, boyfriends and friends were sometimes a little being difficult. Her best friend, Summer, and her were a fanatic girls of the clothes and make up.
I recommended seeing this nice and funny TV series. It is interesting to know how the rich people live. You will enjoy watching how these four friends started different relationships and the some problems with their families.
Also I am happy because I was able to understand this series in English and to enjoy viewing.

Hello,

now I am going to introduce myself in this new entry.My name is Cristina Abad and I'm 16 years old, near 17 on February. I live in Barcelona with my parents and my youngest sister called Ana.

About my studies:

I am studing in Montserrat school since 3rd of ESO. Before I've been in an other school called Nazaret. I supose, I will finished in Montserrat school newt year.

I am good at phisics, maths, biology and quimics. So I have chosen cientific bachillerato. It is the most difficult, but I want to study at the univertity "ciencias biomédicas". So I need to be a good student to get good marks at bachillerato and then at the selectividad.

About my hobbies:

I love litening to music and to search some new music in internet. Also I like watching some films and tv series like "The O.C and "Gossip Girl". In my free time I like to go out with my friends. We always have a coffe to talk and to have fun all together. I love the afternoons that we spend together!

-The evening I came home and I had vegetables and fish for dinner
