The Academy

One week ago, I started with Gloria a course in one academy. It consist in go from 16:00 to 21:00 to prepared to Selectivitat access. You improve all your subjects and you refresh your learning during the last year. I think that this course in helping me a lot to give me security to myself and not to be nervous. In English we practice listening, readings and writings. Is real that the exam will not be the same that we did in the course but your will be familiarized with the exam. Also you are training all the days with listening and readings. For homework we have to do writings and then, our teacher, correct our writings and tell you what and how you have to improve. pD: all the tips for writing help me a lot ONly 15 days until Selectivitat!! SO NERVOUS

TV in English

Since my dad is studying English (no more than 2 months) we are obligated to see the television in English. To see films, soup operas or series does not only understand. You improve your oral abilities, pronunciation and if there are subtitle your reading. As well your vocabulary will be richer. So I started watching Grey’s Anatomy in English. It was not easy because the vocabulary was difficult. But went I get use to watch Grey’s Anatomy I was more comfortable.

"LA INCUBADORA" OF BARCELONA

This Saturday a group of students we have gone to an enterprise convention. This congress included some leadership conferences, and some workshops to improve the world that we are living. We had to present our product idea that will define our main objective in our company. When we were there, we meet new people that wanted to know how to make design thinking. I have been with many different people from around the world. I had to speak in English all the time making brainstormings, or acting… This help me to be spontaneous if I don’t have anything prepared. I feel very comfortable and I think improve a lot from the very beginning of the year. Also help me to realize that the world and the work all is in English. So I have to be conscious and do my better.

JOCS FLORALS!

Today we have written our composition for the “Jocs Florals” as we do every year. We have been doing this since a long time ago but I still some difficulties. First of all because I never know what to talk about and secondly because I am so slow… I waste a lot of time doing a brainstorm of ideas and then I write the composition twice. This is something I have to change. I have been so slow all my life but now that I have selectivity in less than two months I have to try to be faster and write directly in clean. As I said before, I hate writings, because I am not good at, and even less to write something about love, faith or religion. I don’t feel comfortable writing about these topics, but at least it’s my last year at school and doing “Jocs Florals”

MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS

This Wednesday my dad and I,we have gone to the Mobile World Congress 2013. This congress included some leadership conferences, exhibition of more than 1400 companies exposing their products and technology that will define the mobile future and some awards for the most innovative mobile solutions and initiatives from around the world. It is the best place in the world for mobile industry networking and finding business opportunities. It is very impressive because news have announced that the congress has had more than 67.000 visitors from 205 different countries around the world. As well it has contributed in the local economy with more than 300 million euros. I am very glad to have been able to visit the congress. I have liked it a lot. We have visited some stands of new technological and mobile enterprises that have explained us their ideas and products. However, what I have liked the most is the conference of Travis Allan, founder of the ischool initiative.

NEW ADJECTIVES!!

I’ve been doing this exercises and I thought will be easier, because these kind of word I don’t usually use them. I have to start using these words to improve not only my writing, just be natural using these words in speaking. When I read the exercise I thought that will be easier because using common adjectives like: fat, thing, enormous, wonderful… are adjectives that we are using all the time, so learning some more vocabulary will be useful to put in my selectivitat writing. reporting verbs exercises

Hi readers, As you can see in the photos belong, I had practised the reporting verbs. The first webpage was the easy one, maybe because I know the meaning of all the reporting verbs like: told, said, advised, warned, suggested, asked, offered and ordered. I had only 1 sentence wrong but I copied in my notebook to improve before the exam. Also I opened the next webpage. This web was a lillte bit difficult. It was a multiple choise and some of the reporting verbs I didn't know the real meaning so I was undecided which one to choose. Searching the real meaning of these reporting verbs, I copied in my notebook to review before the exam.
